Day 199: Tuesday’s with Tuley!

It’s Tuesday…you know what that means….TUESDAY’S WITH TULEY!!!  Take it away Tuley!

Hello friends…..

I would like to take this “Tuesday’s with yours truly” opportunity to preview a sequel to one of my favorite all-time movies. Coming this Holiday season to a theatre near you is White Men Can’t Jump 2: The Tall Tale of Ryan Jones.

Now for those of you who are not familiar with the little squirt, he stands about 5’8, weighs in around 165 and has a smile that kills. Let it also be known that he is first and foremost an above average friend, and a great influence on me. Jonesey, as we call him, is the kind of kid you want your son to hang around with. As for your daughters, well………um…………let’s just say he has to inform his new neighbors whenever he moves into a new neighborhood. OK, OK I’m completely kidding there, Jonesey is not registered.

"Jonesy" is a regustered Bad Ass with the state of Ohio.

With Jonesey’s story being told in White Men Can’t Jump 2, I am both excited and honored, as well as shocked, that 20th Century Fox has elected to allow me to release the details of the cast on The Employee of the Month blog. But with 80 billion hits, I guess this comes with the territory!  (It will actually pass 100 million by the time this post is published.)

Finding an actor to play feature character Ryan Jones that could match both his physical and personal traits was a long process. There were so many celebs hoping to take this role, as they did when the search was on to play Ray Charles in the movie Ray and Muhammad Ali in the movie Ali; playing Ryan Jones is no different. One of my favorite all-time actors, and star of the first White Men Can’t Jump, Woody Harrelson, was at the top of the list but he declined in lieu of a Cheers reunion show where the bar is now a club and NBAers and NFLers shoot up the place and make it rain regularly. Pacman likes to go “where everybody knows your name.” Anyways, the choice to play Jonesey came down to Matt McConaughey because of his strikingly similar looks to Jonesey, Ichiro Suzuki because of his similarities in baseballing, Bryan Hubler because he basically begged for a job, Tony Cox from Bad Santa, and Wee Man from Jackass. However, sneaking in at the last moment, a man who gave the audition of his life and fits the bill of one Ryan Jones, was Dakota Fanning! She of course will be getting a buzz cut just like Jonesey’s, but expect an Oscar out of her in WMCJ: The Tall Tale of Ryan Jones. Auditions are still on for the roles of latino girlfriend Gloria and blacktop running mate Sidney Deane.

TMZ was able to catch up with Jonesy and Ms. Fanning on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival sneak peek at WMCJ 2. What the HELL is he wearing on his face???

With Ryan Jones being featured on the big screen, it got me thinking about other actors who would play my friends in a movie. For now, we’ll use American Pie (the orginal cast):

Jim Levenstien (guy who’s dad always walks in on him)………………………………………………………………………….…………..Ted Novak

Stifler (orig played by Sean William Scott)…………………………………………………………………………………..Bryan Hubler

Oz (lacrosse player who joins choir)………………………………………………………………………………..…Kevin Hrubey

Kevin (dates Vicky –played by Tara Reid)……………………………………………………………………..….……………..Eric Davis

Michelle(the closet freak; marries Jim in American Wedding)……………………………..……………………………………….Kristen Burnside

Finch (weird, philosophical dude who bangs Stiflers mom)……………………………………………………………………………..….Brian Wayner

Garage Band that watches Jim and Nadya  get it on online(orig played by Blink 182)…………………………………………………………………………..…Dan Wyar
……………………………………………………………………………………..…Kevin Burke
………………………………………………………………………………….…Kevin Duresky

Jim’s Dad (orig played by Eugene Levy- “We’ll just tell your mother that we ate it all.”…………………………………………………………………………..Tom Ruffing

Vicky (orig played by Tara Reid)…………………………………………………………………………………..Valerie Malloy

Sherman aka Shermanator……………………………………………………………………..…Josh Henniger

Stifler’s mom………………………………………………..Peg Wayner……Miss Barringer

This would be a great movie indeed. Perhaps we could do one of those “Batman In Berea” things but American Pie style. Anyways, please leave some comments and/or feedback! Good night and God bless!

It should be a great upcoming movie season Tuley!  It’s a shame that Verne Troyer was busy making Austin Powers 17, but I think Dakota Fanning should do a great job.

I may be unveiling a new segment tomorrow called “Wednesday’s with Wyar” as my friend Dan Wyar is on vacation this week and since I have “been on vacation” since February, I figured what the hell.  Now this will not be a regular occurence as Dan as to return to work next week, however he has to run the gauntlet first before he can just post whatever he wants on my blog.  He may, or may not be making his EOTM debut.  Until next time, One Love!

Thanks for the shout out. Is it me or does Dakota Fanning look really good and over 18 in that picture?
